As the temperatures get lower and holiday spirits rise, we know it’s that time of year again – those enchanting weeks when Christmas Markets all across LutherCountry open their doors.
This week, locals and visitors can once again stroll up and down the rows of small wooden huts and buy crafts, presents, regional delicacies, and of course the famous mulled wine. Some cities even set up an ice rink where guests can ice skate and enjoy the lovely historical surroundings, as well as the occasional winter flurry.

Martin Luther, the Father of the Reformation, spent
most of his life (1483 – 1546) in the neighboring German states of
Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
LutherCountry, the region about halfway between Berlin and Frankfurt, presents places associated with Luther, such as:
